Hope

This is not a partisan moment. This is a historic moment.

(video removed after inauguration because it breaks the site)

My church staff will be watching this tomorrow. Why? Because when my kids ask me "where were you when our first black President was sworn in?" I don't have to say "I was writing the bulletin."

No kidding! I'm cutting out of the office and going to the University nearby with my husband, to watch on a big screen in the auditorium.

How appropriate that the in inauguration follow MLK day..

Today we honor history.
Tomorrow we make it.

You say that now, but what happens Sunday morning and the congregation doesn't know what number Jesus Calls Us is?

Where are your priorities, man?!?

I know! I will have to proofread the bulletin to make sure it doesn't say "Our Father, who art in Heaven, Yes we can!"
